Thanks Steve. Not sure how I missed the communication? But not surprised – seem to get very little from them these days!
Hoping my upgrade (to PE) on way home later this week is better than trip over.
Crew seemed inexperienced (didn’t know “the PE routine”). At least I hope that’s the case – and not that they’ve changed things AND increased the price – because that would be the last straw.

“Heard” it for the first time Chch->Auckland Sunday evening (was row 1, so didn’t see it).
I commented to the staff that it sounded like “really bad karaoke at an office Xmas party” 8-).Saw it Auck->LA (had obviously seen it online, but hadn’t seen the full/aircraft specific version).
OMG – it is unintelligible. Putting aside my musical preferences, I almost wanted to apologize to all of the international visitors on the flight.I do think they can do the novelty videos and still deliver the safety message relatively well.

What really annoyed me was both AirNZ and Virgin pointed finger at each other (“It’s their fault”, “No, it’s their fault”).
I even had a staff member at the AirNZ Koru lounge tell me “Yeah, we’ve been having trouble for a long time and the AirNZ CEO wants to end the relationship”.So I guess it was true.
July 30, 2017 at 7:50 pm NZST #3172nznigelParticipantNow 20% off to August 1. And when I compared JR against all the others, it seems to be the best price (well, for Jim Beam Black Label anyway).
Let’s see if come August 1 whether they extend it again!

So it makes me think they either:
(1) Changed their minds, or
(2) Maybe the change wasn’t supposed to be pre-announced (eg maybe it changes on Aug 1). -
