Couple of questions:
(1) What’s the current price for WiFi on long haul flights?
eg. Auckland to LA?
When I flew in August it was $25, but appears to be back up to $40??(From https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/wifi)
(2) Is it possible to find out in advance if your plane is likely to have WiFi?
Looks like the official way is to check the app just before boarding – but wondered if there’s a better way.

The pricing is as above – the $25 trial price went back up.
The app will tell you day or two out if you plane has WiFi. You can typically tell a few days further out by looking at the rego on FR24 with the current regos here (there may also be a 2nd 777-200 fitted now or due back any day if it’s not yet back) https://traveltalk.nz/news-opinion/airline/air-new-zealand-publically-launches-in-flight-wifi/
