EK449 will operate via Melbourne (MEL) for refueling until further notice. Passengers will not disembark at Melbourne.September 19, 2017 at 8:00 am NZST #3575Steve BiddleKeymasterIt seems as of last night (which I believe will be ongoing) that NZ80 AKL-HKG will stop in BNE for refueling and NZ5 LAX-AKL will stop in NAN for inbound refueling giving it enough fuel to for the aircraft to fly it’s service to Australia.
NZ6 AKL to LAX and NZ8 AKL to SFO have also stopped at NAN outbound to refuel.
I hope they have lots of fuel in Fiji!

September 22, 2017 at 3:59 pm NZST #3583Adam JobbinsKeymasterEmail I recieved from Air NZ today says:
Following on from the update provided on Monday, I’m pleased to say that Air New Zealand’s schedule is now operating largely as normal as we continue to manage our way through the impact of Refining New Zealand’s temporary shut-down of its fuel supply pipeline to Auckland.
Air New Zealand has implemented a range of measures since Sunday in response to a reduction in fuel available at Auckland Airport. Fortunately we now believe the need for further disruption will ease.
September 23, 2017 at 2:08 pm NZST #3584KiwiwingsParticipantIt’s interesting Air NZ sent out emails but never heard anything from Qantas! They pulled flights to MEL and BNE, can’t remember what SYD looked like. Looks like normal schedules up now. China Airlines sold out of economy completely to BNE tomorrow and EK looks pretty full.
Anyway, back to business as usual 🙂

All I could get was generic statements out of the PR team
