Holy guacamole!😮 28k miles is insane for NZ/Oz.

So I jumped on it and now have return SQ business class seats for 56k SQ miles + 117NZD fees. Overnighters with 773 over and A380 return.

 

Normal rates are 62k each way to SIN or into zone 1-3 I think. So 56k return is beyond belief. Spontaneous escapes are usually 30% off award fares and are a monthly announcement for travel the following month for select routes.

When searching it shows 62k but you actually need to click on the fare for it to show the discounted fare price. So don’t get disheartened seeing all those 62k.

I paid for short hop onward economy flights with SilkAir. SQ should through-check luggage. Left 3hrs & 5hr connection times so should be easy! Barring crappy weather, plane issues, Auckland Airport issues!
