    I’ve been hearing quite a few rumours in the past few months of Jetstar regional expansion before the end of the year. Their new schedule starts at the end of October and while many of the flights they cancelled for winter haven’t been reinstated, there are rumours of new Q400 aircraft coming.

    It’ll be interesting to see whether there is any truth to this, and what routes they may fly. There has been talk of Q400’s for quite some time, and that these would fly main trunk to increase the number of flights between AKL and WLG and WLG and CHC as putting jets on these would result in a massive mismatch of capacity vs demand.

    I’m probably not going to fly a Q400 over a jet but still keen to try out the Q300’s some time. They’re short hops so no biggie if it’s awful but I can’t imagine it being tooooooo bad.

     

    Would give them some back ups for cancelled flights at least!
