How exciting!!!
This honestly makes Fiji Airways a more attractive option than it’s ever been before for me.
From the article I gather it will remain a 2 class airline. No PE. Direct aisle access suggests a new business class seat as their current A330s have a 2-2-2 layout. Intriguing! Edit: Seat super diamond as per AusBT https://www.ausbt.com.au/fiji-airways-will-fly-airbus-a350s-to-australia-new-zealand-usa
Economy on the A330 is a 2-4-2 layout but presumably this will switch to a 3-3-3 layout.
Deliveries in Nov and Dec. 🙂
They fly to Los Angeles and San Francisco which is an expensive route and can be tough finding redemptions.
Business class redemptions costs are 84k Qantas points, 55k Alaska miles & 80k AA miles.
Economy class redemptions are 40k Qantas points, 40k Alaska miles & 40k AA miles.
(plus taxes / fees etc…)
I saw business cash sale fares down to nzd4576 return which is pretty good considering the cost on alternative carriers. Economy sale fares down to 899nzd return.
