Has anybody noticed significant changes to their SP earn with the new changes in place?
It seems to mainly affect regional flights the worst – and if you’re connecting from a jet to regional (using an example of say WLG – KKE) you’re affected the most.
I was just looking at a few example now. You’ll get 4SP in total now for a $124 fare from WLG – KKE. If you book WLG – AKL and then AKL to KKE as two separate fares you’ll get 12 SP (8SP + 4SP) and only pay $108 for the two tickets.
This reminds me a lot of when Air NZ were charging more for return flights to Australia than what they were if you booked two single tickets.
