    Has anyone had any luck clearing a gifted Elite Airpoints Dollars upgrade?

    I am Silver and my partner is Elite. I believe the E-APD upgrade is only given the same weight when I am flying with him.

    Am interested in hearing experience. I have a return flight AKL – TOKYO later in the year (without him) and might get him to lodge an E-APD soon with hopes of getting it. Its only $220 Airpoints which seems like a great deal in comparison to attempting a OneUp (which I never will).
