Vodafone New Zealand has announced an increase from $5 to $7 for its popular international daily roaming from 11th July 2019. As a carrot it has also announced 16 new destinations where daily roaming is available, increasing the total to over 100.

The daily roaming offering sets Vodafone New Zealand apart from Spark and 2degrees, allowing users to use their included plan minutes, SMS and data for a daily charge while overseas. Roaming offerings from 2degrees and Spark require users to buy bundles of minutes, SMS messages and data or be limited by daily data limits.

Customers can also expect to see another increase in 2020, with the Government proposing that telecommunications services used outside New Zealand that are currently zero rated for GST becoming liable for 15% GST.

Daily roaming is now available in the following destinations (bold indicates a new destination)
